If you’re a newlywed, photographer or wedding supplier, and have an original and creative wedding story to share then I would love to hear from you! The more handmade and personalised touches, the better!
I’m a total sucker for wedding DIY and I am also interested in featuring stories about your experience of crafting your way to your big day. If you have DIY tips that you would like to share with other couples then send them in! You might want to wait until after your wedding though – I wouldn’t want you spoiling the surprises for your guests!
Please send your submission via email to hello@handmadeandhitched.com including the following information…
Wedding Story Submissions…
- Give your post a title. For a real wedding or engagement shoot include the couples names
- Include the wedding date and location
- A description of the day with all the details. What is unique or different about this story?
- A selection of JPEG images with resolution set to 72dpi and all images 800px wide that show the best aspects of the day – think of fashion, stationary, flowers, cake, venue, decor etc
- I will need permission from the couple and the photographer prior to featuring the shoot. Please make sure that you have permission from all parties before sending images across.
Couples DIY Posts…
- Several clear images to highlight the tutorial. Images should be supplied in the format as described above. I can help with any difficulties with images size and resolution so just give me shout
- A clear and simple explanation of the steps involved
- A short paragraph about your special day and any unique details
Supplier / Sponsored Posts…
- Please see the ‘Advertise’ tab for details of sponsored posts. There is a fee for this. I will need details about your business (name, website and location) and information about what you can offer to couples that is a little bit different.
Guest Posts…
- I will only accept guest posts that are in the form of DIY tutorials or provide helpful hints and ideas for couples. DIY’s must fit well with the theme of the blog. Make-up, hair-styling, venue decor and craft tutorials are all welcome.
