“Hello, my name is Mirlah and I’m the lil’ lady behind Best Day Ever! Here in glorious Derbyshire I live for celebrating all life’s special moments, big, small and fabulous. With a love for designing, crafting and styling I decided I’d quite like to share the love. Ta Da! Best Day Ever was born!”

Making her debut with four beautiful collections for you to choose from, Mirlah is adding to the range all the time. I love the dreamy names; Strawberry Shake, Doily Daydream, Vintage Chalk, and the newest addition Stripe me Pretty. Get your peepers on these beauties…

Extras such as table numbers, favour labels and stickers are all available too. Woohoo!

I LOVE the Strawberry Shake collection featured in the image above. This would definitely suit a 50’s vintage / retro theme, something that’s still very popular for weddings right now. Mirlah describes this collection as “fun, flirty and oh-so-cute”. I couldn’t agree more.

The brand new Stripe Me Pretty is another stunner, full of fun and colour with beautiful pastel floral motifs. A showstopper for a variety of wedding styles, this would be superb for a vintage theme with pastel colours.

To be perfectly honest I wouldn’t know how to choose, I love them all!

There’s even a little treat for all you wedding DIYers with a ‘print it yourself’ service called ‘We’ll take it from here’. A great option for couples on a budget or those wanting to combine beautiful design work with handmade touches. You will receive a fully personalised PDF, which can be printed in the comfort of your home – I’ll put the kettle on.

All the details are on the Best Day Ever website, and right now there’s 10% off all stationery orders until May 31st. Quote Spring14 to receive your discount.

Whimsical Wedding Jewellery by Wishes on the Wind

Fancy a wedding day that is magical, whimsical and a little bit different? Once you’ve picked out the perfect dress, you need the jewellery that will compliment it perfectly. If you want your accessories to stand out from the crowd then I would seriously take a look at Wishes on the Wind.

Wishes on the Wind is a beautiful jewellery business owned by Lana Butters who confesses to having a “flower, plant and resin obsession”. Lana freezes pretty and delicate parts of nature in time by encapsulating tiny flowers and plants in resin and little glass globes. Besides making beautiful pieces for your wedding day Lana will also turn your wedding flowers into jewellery that you can wear and treasure forever. How romantic.

Real Pine Cone Orb Necklace, Earrings and Ring from Wishes on the Wind.

I love these tiny pine cones captured in resin. Perfect for a winter wedding or maybe a theme inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia.

Besides being elegant and unique, the cufflinks and ‘Forget me Not’ orb necklace above are perfect for your ‘something blue’.

A Unique Gift for Your Paper Anniversary

Happy New Year!!! I hope you’ve all had some amazing celebrations and you have some great plans for the year ahead.
I’ve been struck down with a winter bug these last few days which is why it’s been a bit quiet on the blog. The doctor’s orders were to stay in bed and do absolutely nothing. I couldn’t really refuse that advice now could I. Now that I’m feeling a bit more like myself I have been noseying around the Internet to bring you some unique wedding finds.
On twitter I came across Emma Tysoe who loves baking, gadgets and origami. When I checked out Emma’s origami business I knew I had found a little gem to share on the blog. Check out these incredibly intricate and stunning designs, all made with Emma’s own fair hands…
Every little detail is perfectly matched to your wedding day outfits. What an amazing gift for your paper wedding anniversary. This is without a doubt something that will be treasured forever and a sure conversation starter when your friends see this hanging on your wall.  If you fancy one of these little beauties for yourself or as a gift then you can find all the information on Emma’s website www.papergifts.me.uk.

The Original Wedding Tea Towel

Image taken from The Original Wedding Tea Towel Blog.

How about this for an amazing alternative to the standard wedding invite – wedding tea towels! I think this is just a fabulous idea and one that your guests can keep for many moons to come. An invite that is not only quirky, making it stand out from all of those other invites – but is actually useful too! You’ll be thinking of Dave and Marie’s wedding while you’re drying the dishes for years! And if you think the special couple are super fantastic you could even frame it and hang it up somewhere.

There are some stunning designs to choose from such as the new ‘Secret Garden’ design above, and they come in a variety of colours. Use them as save the dates, invitations, or favours to say thank you to guests for sharing your special day. You can even have the reverse of the tea towel printed with information about your big day as shown here…

Karen, the owner/founder also has a very entertaining style of writing on her blog which gave me a giggle. Check it out here.
